Eurocard Video Distribution Amplifier
Features
-
IRT Eurocard construction
- Loop through input
- Ten BNC outputs on
rear
- >30 MHz bandwidth
- Front panel
monitoring output
- Cable equalisation
to 300 metres
- Various clamping
options
- Longitudinal hum
stripping
- Front panel EQ &
gain adjustment
General
The VA-700 is a video
distribution amplifier of modular Eurocard construction having
facilities for cable equalisation, longitudinal hum reduction, and
clamping.
The input is a bridging loop through type to facilitate connection to
other equipment. Ten 75 Ω outputs are provided on the rear with an
additional output on the front panel for ease of monitoring.
The input and output grounds are separated to provide rejection of
longitudinally developed hum. The input is AC coupled and the output DC
restored with options for no clamping or clamping to the internal or an
external signal. The external clamping facility may be used to provide
correct DC restoration in YUV & RGB signal situations.
The video gain may be varied by ± 3 dB from the front panel. Internal
preset controls allow adjustment of the amplifier frequency response,
optimisation of the longitudinal hum rejection, and stage output DC
voltages.
Cable equalisation is
provided for up to 300 metres of 75 Ω high quality cable with adjustment
via the front panel. In addition the VA-700 may be fitted with an
optional additional equalisation sub-board and a switch to select
equalisation type.
The VA-700 may also be fitted with an optional subboard for mounting of
delay lines or filters. The DL-700 sub board also provides delay
adjustment trim and additional compensating gain for losses in long
delay lines (only available whilst
current stocks last).
The VA-700 may also be used as a pulse distribution amplifier. (Only 6
outputs may be used for 4 Vp-p)
The VA-700 is manufactured on an extended Eurocard board for mounting in
IRT Eurocard frames.

General
The AVA-3900 is a high performance
Eurocard video amplifier package
containing three separate

changed to accommodate different
cable types.
The AVA-3900 is a standard IRT
Eurocard and is compatible with our
other Eurocard products.
Two AVA-3900 Eurocards may be
mounted in the IRT 1 RU chassis
providing 6 VDA's in 1 RU.
Uses for the AVA-3900 include:
Adjustment of gain and frequency

DVC-4112
270 Mb/s SDI to Composite Converter & DA
-
Broadcast quality, full 10-bit
video conversion.
-
4 Equalised, regenerated and
re-clocked repeater outputs.
-
3 Composite analogue outputs with
high quality 10 bit D/A.
-
Component (RGB, YPbPr) or S-Video
(Y/C) output.
-
PAL or NTSC operation with auto
or manual switching.
-
SDI input loss and decoded video
indicators on front panel.
-
Simple Network Management
Protocol (SNMP) capability..
General
The DVC-4112 is a high performance SDI 270 Mbit/s serial digital
video to analogue composite/component converter and distribution
amplifier.
The DVC-4112 is designed to regenerate a link and provide a
broadcast quality analogue composite or component signal.
The serial receiver section, shown in the block diagram above,
automatically equalises and re-clocks the input serial video signal
and the cable driver section retransmits the regenerated serial
video.
This configuration allows both an extension of the link and a jitter
performance advantage over non re-clocking regenerators.
The DVC-4112 is primarily intended to operate in mixed (digital and
analogue) environments allowing existing analogue monitoring
equipment to be utilised without the need to purchase more expensive
digital equipment.

DVC-4360 Composite to 270 Mb/s SDI
Features:
-
Broadcast quality, full 12-bit
video conversion.
- 2 SDI 270 Mbit/s outputs.
- 2 AES or 4 Analogue Audio Inputs.
- PAL or NTSC operation with auto
switching.
- Video input indicator on front
panel.
- Standard IRT Eurocard format may be
mixed with other IRT analogue and digital Eurocards in the same
frame.
General
The DVC-4360 is a high performance
PAL / NTSC composite to 270 Mbit/s serial digital (SDI) video
converter, complete with analogue or AES audio insertion.
The DVC-4360 provides two SDI outputs.
Audio channel allocation and source selection is provided by links
on the main board.
The DVC-4360 is designed to provide a broadcast quality composite to
SDI conversion using the latest digital filtering techniques.
The composite input section, shown in the block diagram above,
automatically detects the composite input standard (PAL or NTSC) and
generates the appropriate 625 or 525 SDI format.
Link settings are provided for
default output on signal loss. This is either blue or black in 625
or 525.
Full 12 bit video processing and 20-bit analogue to digital audio
converters are used in order to assure a high quality SDI signals
suitable for broadcast and production monitoring applications.
The DVC-4360 is designed to fit IRT's standard Eurocard frames as
well as IRT's 4000 series frame for use with IRT's SNMP system and
may be used alongside any other of IRT's analogue or digital
Eurocards.

of 16 Test Patterns on loss of
video input.
- Choice
of 8 banners overlaid or keyed
onto SDI input or Test Pattern
output.
- Simple
Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) capability. (Future)
General
The DVG-4090 acts as a
video crash switcher and
test pattern generator.
On loss of video input,
output is automatically
switched to a choice of
16 test patterns.
8 custom built banners
containing text or

the test pattern output
in the lower section of
the video picture. In
the case of an SDI
input, these banners can
also be overlaid onto
the existing stream.
A countdown banner and
audio test signal
insertion is also
available for link
identification purposes.
Two rear assemblies are
supplied for analogue
and digital video input
operation, however both
rear assemblies contain
both composite and SDI
outputs.
The DVG-4090 is designed
to fit IRT's standard
Eurocard frames as well
as IRT's 4000 series
frame for use with IRT's
SNMP system and may be
used alongside any other
of IRT's analogue or
digital |
