General
The DDA-4006
270 Mb/s serial digital video distribution
amplifier provides the user with a single
standard module to cover a wide range of
distribution and monitoring functions for ASI or
SDI signals.
The DDA-4006
supersedes the DVA-3006 and provides all of its
predecessor's functions together with the added
option of a Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) monitoring module for use with IRT's SNMP
system frame.
Due to the fact
that standard loop through techniques used in
the analogue domain are unsuitable to the
digital domain most digital equipment comes with
no facility to route the input signal to other
locations. As a result a DA is required at
almost every point in the digital chain.
Serial digital signals also suffer severe
deterioration over relatively short cable
distances. The DDA-4006 provides a means of
extending the working distances that can be
achieved by equalising and retransmitting the
data mid route.
The DDA-4006
may also be used to provide input equalisation
for devices not having this feature, as most
unequalised inputs will only support cable
lengths of less than 20 metres.
Frequent re-clocking of serial digital signals
can lead to serious increases in jitter with
resultant data errors. The DDA-4006 does not
include re-clocking so as to minimise these
errors, leaving re-clocking to be done by the
receiving device. For applications requiring
reclocking the DDA-4007 should be used.
An optional rear
assembly, ZDA-4006RL (sold separately), provides
a bypass relay to switch the Input (SK1) to
Output 1 (SK2) in the event of a power failure.
When this bypass rear assembly is used, number
of outputs is reduced to 6.
The DDA-4006 is designed to fit IRT's Standard
Eurocard frame as well as IRT's 4000 series
frame for use with IRT's SNMP system and may be
used alongside any other of IRT's analogue or
digital Eurocards

DDA-4007
270 Mb/s
ASI/SDI 8 O/P Reclocking Distribution Amplifier
Features
-
For use as
buffer or distribution amplifier.
-
8 x in-phase 270
Mb/s ASI or SDI reclocked outputs.
-
Automatic input
equalisation to 250 metres.
-
Automatic output
muting on no input.
-
Front panel
indicators provide monitoring of presence of
input signal at 270 Mb/s.
-
Optional plug-in
SNMP monitoring module
General
The DDA-4007
270 Mb/s serial digital video distribution
amplifier provides the user with a single
standard module to cover a wide range of
distribution and monitoring functions for SDI or
ASI signals.
The DDA-4007 supersedes the DVA-3007 and
provides all of its predecessor's functions
together with the added option of a Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) monitoring
module for use with IRT's SNMP system frame.
Due to the fact that standard loop through
techniques used in the analogue domain are
unsuitable to the digital domain most digital
equipment comes with no facility to route the
input signal to other locations. As a result a
VDA is required at almost every point in the
digital chain.
Serial digital signals also suffer severe
deterioration over relatively short cable
distances. The DDA-4007 provides a means of
extending the working distances that can be
achieved by equalising.
Where a large
number of reclocked outputs are required the
DDA-4007 may be used to provide reclocking and
its outputs fed to one or more non reclocking
DA's to provide the number of outputs required.
This provides a more economic solution than
using multiple reclocking DA's and minimises
jitter increase due to unnecessary re-clocking.
An optional rear
assembly, ZDA-4006RL (sold separately), provides
a bypass relay to switch the Input (SK1) to
Output 1 (SK2) in the event of a power failure.
When this bypass rear assembly is used, the
number of outputs is reduced to 6.
The DDA-4007 is
designed to fit IRT's standard Eurocard frames
as well as IRT's 4000 series frame for use with
IRT's SNMP system and may be used alongside any
other of IRT's analogue or digital Eurocards.

General
The DDA-4900 270
Mb/s serial digital video distribution amplifier
provides the user with a single standard module
to cover a wide range of distribution and
monitoring functions for ASI or SDI signals. Two
triple output distribution amplifiers are
provided on the one card. Signal bypass relays
automatically switch the inputs to one of their
outputs in the event of loss of power.
Due to the fact that standard loop through
techniques used in the analogue domain are
unsuitable to the digital domain most digital
equipment comes with no facility to route the
input signal to other locations. As a result a
DA is required at almost every point in the
digital chain.
Serial digital
signals also suffer severe deterioration over
relatively short cable distances. The DDA-4900
provides a means of extending the working
distances that can be achieved by equalising and
retransmitting the data mid route.
The DDA-4900 may
also be used to provide input equalisation for
devices not having this feature, as most
unequalised inputs will only support cable
lengths of less than 20 metres.
Frequent
re-clocking of serial digital signals can lead
to serious increases in jitter with resultant
data errors. The DDA-4900 does not include
re-clocking, which minimises these errors,
leaving re-clocking to be done by the receiving
device. For applications requiring reclocking
the DDA-4007
should be used.
To provide for the
polarity sensitive nature of ASI signals, all
outputs of the DDA-4900 are in phase with the
input.
An optional SNMP (Simple Network Management
Protocol) plug-in module is available for
monitoring when used in conjunction with IRT's
4000 series frame fitted with SNMP capability.
The DDA-4900 is a
Eurocard module designed to fit IRT's standard
Eurocard frames as well as IRT's 4000 series
frames for use with IRT's SNMP system and may be
used alongside any other of IRT's analogue or
digital Eurocards.

General
The DVC-4112 is
a high performance SDI 270 Mbit/s serial digital
video to analogue composite/component converter
and distribution amplifier.
The DVC-4112 is designed to regenerate a link
and provide a broadcast quality analogue
composite or component signal.
The serial receiver section, shown in the block
diagram above, automatically equalises and
re-clocks the input serial video signal and the
cable driver section retransmits the regenerated
serial video.
This configuration allows both an extension of
the link and a jitter performance advantage over
non re-clocking regenerators.
The DVC-4112 is primarily intended to operate in
mixed (digital and analogue) environments
allowing existing analogue monitoring equipment
to be utilised without the need to purchase more
expensive digital equipment.
The DVC-4112
provides component outputs for most
requirements: RGB, YPbPr and S-VHS (Luma +
Chroma). Three composite outputs are always
available plus a choice of one of the remaining
component formats.
Full 10 bit video processing and 10-bit digital
to analogue converters are used in order to
assure a high quality analogue signal suitable
for broadcast and production monitoring
applications.
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
monitoring is possible if mounted in IRT's 4000
series frame fitted with SNMP capability.
