DDA-3020 155 Mb/s G.703 (STM-1) Data Distribution Amplifier
General The DDA-3020 data distribution amplifier is intended for use with STM1 data signals conforming to the ITU Rec. G.703. The DDA-3020 is primarily intended for use in pairs with a double width rear assembly (ZDA-3021RH) for automatic path protection applications, although it is supplied as standard with its own rear assembly for stand-alone applications. Four outputs are provided at the rear of the module with an additional output for monitoring purposes on the front panel. One output (O/P 3) is controlled by relays to provide a bypass signal from the input in the event of a power failure. Indicators are provided on the front panel for:
DC power
Data loss AIS detect Module in service Module in standby Changeover
inhibit and changeover request switches are
provided on the front panel for use where
modules are linked in pairs for redundancy.
For this configuration the ZDA-3021RH double
width rear assembly is needed to link the
logic sections of two modules. |

connection 155 Mb/s Data Amplifiers Features Applications:
General The DDA-3020 is
a 155Mb/s G.703 (STM-1) distribution amplifier
that incorporates a protection switching
facility for the switching in of signals from a
standby module when a fault is detected. A loss of input
signal or an Alarm Indication Signal (AIS)
detected in the data stream generates a
changeover request for a companion unit. In
addition, the module may be forced into bypass
mode by an external signal. |

DDA-4301 E3/DS3 G.703 Data Distribution AmplifierFeatures
The DDA-4301 is a
data distribution amplifier that operates in
accordance with the G.703 specification. Either
E3 (34.368Mb/s) or DS3 (44.736Mb/s unframed or
44.210Mb/s framed) data rates are possible by an
on board switch selector. An on board switch setting allows an Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) detected in the data stream to generate a changeover request for a companion unit. On loss of the input, the output can be set to give either no signal or an AIS signal output. Indicators are provided on the front panel for:
DC power
External alarm
signals are also available on the rear of the
module. For this configuration, a special double width rear assembly (type ZDA-4300RH) is available to link the signal and logic sections of two modules. Monitoring via a simple network management protocol (SNMP) is optionally possible when fitted with a plug-in SNMP board and run in an IRT 4000 series frame fitted with SNMP capability. |

ZDA-4300RH Handshake connection - E3 & DS3 Mb/s Data AmplifiersFeatures
General
IRT produces a range of data distribution
amplifiers that operate at the E3 (34.368Mb/s) &
DS3 (44.736Mb/s) rates in accordance with G.703.
All incorporate a protection switching facility
for the switching in of signals from a standby
module when a fault is detected.
An Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) detected in the
data stream generates a changeover request for a
companion unit. In addition, the module may be
forced into bypass mode by an external signal.
