changeover set with two inputs and two outputs.
No terminations are provided on the board
allowing the switcher to be used in a wide
variety of applications and with signals of
various types and impedances.
The "video" path uses enhanced performance
relays to provide switching capabilities for
high-speed data signals up to 1.485 Gb/s and may
be used with analogue video, SDI, HDSDI, ASI or
G.703 data signals.
The "audio" path may be used for balanced or
unbalanced audio or control signals (RS232,
RS422, RS485 etc).
The AMS-4171 is ideally suited to applications
where a simple choice between two inputs or
outputs is required and may be easily driven by
audio, video or other detector circuits for
automatic path selection
Front panel
switches allow a choice of local or remote
control operation.
Front panel LED indicators are used to indicate
the status of each relay circuit.
Remote control is via a switch to ground
connection, where video and audio may be
operated independently or with audio following
video by means of link settings.
An optional SNMP (Simple Network Management
Protocol) plug-in module is available for remote
monitoring and control when used in conjunction
with IRT's 4000 series frame fitted with SNMP
capability.
The AMS-4171 is designed to fit IRT's standard
Eurocard frames as well as IRT's 4000 series
frame for use with IRT's SNMP system and may be
used alongside any other of IRT's analogue or
digital Eurocards.

General
The AMS-4370HD is a magnetic latching 4 port
changeover switcher using enhanced performance
relays which provide switching capabilities for
high speed data signals up to 1.4 Gb/s. It is
suitable for switching high definition video,
ASI, SDI or G.703 data streams or analogue video
signals, provided that they have characteristic
impedances of 75Ω.
The AMS-4370HD is arranged as a changeover
switch with two inputs and two outputs. No
terminations are provided on the board allowing
the switcher to be used in a wide variety of
applications and with signals of various types
and impedances.
The magnetic latching characteristic of the high
performance relay allows momentary control and
also provides for no change of path during power
loss. Remote changeoverchangeover is by a
momentary ground connection.The AMS-4370HD is
ideally suited to applications where a simple
choice between two inputs or outputs is required
and may be easily driven by detector circuits
for automatic path selection.
For best performance the outputs should be
connected to inputs with automatic cable
equalisation.
Remote indication of tally and local/remote
status is provided for integration into central
alarm and monitoring systems.
The AMS-4370HD relay card is built to the
Eurocard format and will mount in an IRT 1RU or
4000 series 3RU frame.

facility.
-
External alarms and
bypass.
-
Redundant pair operation
capability.

Eurocard modules and frames.
General
The
DDA-3020 data distribution amplifier is
intended for use with STM1 data signals
conforming to the ITU Rec. G.703. The
DDA-3020 is primarily intended for use in
pairs with a double width rear assembly
(ZDA-3021RH) for automatic path protection
applications, although it is supplied as
standard with its own rear assembly for
stand-alone applications.
Four
outputs are provided at the rear of the
module with an additional output for
monitoring purposes on the front panel. One
output (O/P 3) is controlled by relays to
provide a bypass signal from the input in
the event of a power failure.
Indicators are provided on the front
panel for:
DC power
Data loss
AIS detect
Module in service
Module in standby
Changeover
inhibit and changeover request switches are
provided on the front panel for use where
modules are linked in pairs for redundancy.
For this configuration the ZDA-3021RH double
width rear assembly is needed to link the
logic sections of two modules.
When used as a line equaliser or
distribution amplifier the DDA may be housed
in any of IRT's standard Eurocard frames.
When used in pairs for handshake operation
only 3 RU chassis types may be used so that
the double width rear assembly may be used.
The DDA-3020 is also equipped with Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
monitoring so that status and alarms can be
remotely monitored and controlled via an
Ethernet connection. This function is only
available when the unit is housed in an IRT
4000 series frame fitted with the SNMP agent
module, CDM-4000.

Applications:
- Redundant pair
operation.
- Protection
switching facility.
- External alarms
from each module.
- One output bypass
on power loss
General
The DDA-3020 is
a 155Mb/s G.703 (STM-1) distribution amplifier
that incorporates a protection switching
facility for the switching in of signals from a
standby module when a fault is detected.
To facilitate this mode of operation, the
ZDA-3021RH provides all of the required signal
and logic interconnections between two DDA-3020
modules.
The individual module alarms are also provided
for remote monitoring purposes.
Three switched and two non-switched outputs are
provided at the rear of the module with an
additional output for monitoring purposes on
each front panel. One output (O/P 3) is
controlled by relays to provide a bypass signal
from the input during a power failure.
A loss of input
signal or an Alarm Indication Signal (AIS)
detected in the data stream generates a
changeover request for a companion unit. In
addition, the module may be forced into bypass
mode by an external signal.
Changeover-inhibit and changeover-request
switches are provided on the front panel for
local manual control.

HDA-4521 Dual 1 In,
3 Out HD/SD Reclocking Distribution Amplifier
Features
-
3 non inverting
outputs on each amplifier.
-
Link selectable
for 1 in, 6 out single distribution
amplifier operation.
-
3 Automatic
reclocking of High Definition or Standard
Definition digital signals.
-
Input
equalisation > 100 m for HD, > 250 m for SD.
-
Automatic output
muting on no input.
-
Front panel
signal presence LEDs and external alarm
contacts.
-
Optional plug-in
SNMP monitoring module.
General
The HDA-4521
HD/SD dual serial digital reclocking video
distribution amplifier provides the user
with a single standard module to cover a
wide range of distribution and monitoring
functions for High Definition (HD) and/or
Standard Definition (SD) digital signals.
Two triple output reclocking distribution
amplifiers are provided on the one card.
As well as accepting HD or SD signals, the
HDA-4521 will also accept ASI signals. To
provide for the ploarity sensitive nature of
ASI signals, all outputs of the HDA-4521 are
in phase with the inputs.
Serial digital
signals suffer severe deterioration over
relatively short cable distances. This is
especially so with the HD high data rate.
The HDA-4521 provides a means of extending
the working distances that can be achieved
by equalising and retransmitting the data
mid route.
The HDA-4521
will automatically reclock either 1.485Gb/s
HD signals or lower rate 270Mb/s SD signals.
Both sides of the HDA-4521 can be run
independently allowing a mixture of signal
types to be used.
On board link
settings allow either of the inputs to feed
all outputs to create a one in, six out
distribution amplifier.
Front panel
LEDs indicate when an input signal is
present and whether the output is an HD or
SD type.
Separate alarm
outputs switch to ground for indication of
loss of input signal or loss of power.
An optional SNMP (Simple Network Management
Protocol) plug in module is available for
remote monitoring and control when used in
conjunction with IRT's 4000 series frame
fitted with SNMP capability. Extra features
are available via SNMP such as automatic
switching on loss of one input to the other
input.
The HDA-4521
is designed to fit IRT's 4000 series 3RU
frames for use with IRT's SNMP system as
well as being suitable with IRT's 1000
series 1RU Eurocard frames and may be used
alongside any other of IRT's Eurocards.
